Gerhard
Gerhard first came to South Africa in 1986 and after 10 years travelling around the African continent he finally settled in Cape Town in 1997. During the following 2 years many of his german friends visited him here, and so the idea of a guest house developed and as the word spread, Aloha Lodge was born. Soon enough we needed cars for our guests, and in 2000 began the AlohaCars budget car rental company to cater for surfers, students and travellers.
Annette
Annette’s idea was to start working in a hotel during season when she arrived in Cape Town beginning of 2002. A mutual family friend in Germany suggested AlohaLodge and since then she has been improving and expanding the business. Annette has also been working for a Lufthansa Company for over 6 years.
Florian
Florian was born in June 2006 and starts slowly taking over…
As the business is growing more KIDS will follow.
Our AlohaDogs, Jabuk and Umbo, look after everything and are everyones joy.
They all like being on the road, either somewhere in Africa in their old but reliable Toyota Landcruiser or back to Germany, where their roots are.
