Is there a minimum age to rent a car?
The minimum age to hire a vehicle is 21 years.
Is it required to carry an International Driver’s Permit with me?
It is not required but it is recommended to carry an International Driver’s Permit in conjunction with your national driving license.
Traffic officers will expect to see documentation if they stop you for any reason.
How do I pay?
We don’t have credit card facilities. We accept cash only.
Is there an additional fee for a second driver?
No, but we will take copies of ID and drivers license of the drivers.
Is there an additional fee for the insurance?
No the insurance is included, there won’t be any extra costs.
What should I do if I am involved in an accident?
Please contact the local police department so that you can obtain a case number. Please also contact us and advise us of the accident.
How are the cars insured?
The cars are comprehensive insured. In case of damage or loss an excess has to be paid.
How much would be the insurance excess?
The excess depends on the drivers’ age. From the age of 25 years it will be 2500ZAR in case of damage and 3500ZAR in case of loss.
What happens in case of a Traffic fines?
The renter is liable for payment of all traffic fines.
What do I need to bring along when I hire a car?
Please bring along your drivers license and your Passport or national ID (RSA Citizen).
